A new Michael Jackson mural has appeared in Los Angeles.
Nathan, a fanatic illustrator, also fan of Michael Jackson, has painted a brand new mural with Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles.
The location is so important as this is in the same alley, on Beverly Blvd, that Michael Jackson shoot the cover of his first Epic Solo album “Off The Wall”. Album cover photo taken by photographer, Michael Salisbury at the time.
Talking to Nathan, he said “A lot of fans expressed maybe a plaque should be there or something and as an artist, I figured why not do something about it. After proposing my design and talking a deal out with the owner of the gym, and informing him of the history of the location, he agreed to let me go forth with my vision and desire into doing a mural there.”
It is Nathan’s first major work in that scale and he did an amazing job representing the importance of the location:
“This is my first mural measuring at 15 ft high and 35-36 ft wide, and I look forward to doing more murals. Maybe one to celebrate Thriller’s 40th, and I’ve even considered doing a Captain EO one somewhere nearby Disneyland in Anaheim, CA”
The mural was revealed on March 12th and any fans taking pictures can use the hashtag #OnTheWallMJ
