Peter Andre has confirmed he is set to star in Thriller Live in the West End London.
Peter, 46, is set to sing in the play for two weeks in the West End musical and says the allegations should be put aside to enjoy the music.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Peter said: ‘I’m going to be doing more the Off The Wall era, not really the later stuff. I love that music, the first album I bought was Off The Wall.’
Addressing the allegations against Michael Jackson, Peter explained: ‘I have always said that we’ve got to keep the music separate. The reason I say that, one is because if you’re going to go there and say you can’t listen to the music because there’s allegations, do you listen to the music pre any supposed allegations, where do you go with it?
Continuing to defend his musical idol, Peter told Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard: ‘This show is about the music.
‘I always have to say that they are allegations.
‘A friend of mine who loved R Kelly as much as they loved Michael Jackson, will not listen to R Kelly because they saw video footage, evidence, whatever the documentary was. I think that might be where the difference is, is this is still based on allegations. It doesn’t mean there’s no truth in it or you can in any way ignore it. But we’re not at that point where we know what happened.
Living in a politically correct environment, it would have been nicer to see Peter taking a stand for Michael but instead he just avoid the question by using the card “we’ve got to keep the music separate”
Well, Peter, no! Michael Jackson is innocent – full stop! Is that hard to say? Going to perform on a full on Michael Jackson show, that is what we expected from Peter Andre!

I don’t really see anyone going full out with the truth on MJ’s case, but it will come out eventually. Not anyone can be articulate enough, some just know how to sing and dance, I might have to check this musical out!
Why so politicaly correct? Mr. Andre, just say that you dont believe in this allegations. If you not sure, watch Square One documentary.
I agree with your summary on his attitude, but everyone is so nervous about upsetting the PC crowd that many ‘play it safe’. Take a leaf out of Dave Chapelle’s book and tell it like it is.
I think your right peter Andre should have made a stand and said Michael was and is innocent if he is a true friend because that’s what friends do they support each other, if it were the other way round Michael would have supported him. How would he like it if people were saying things about him that were not true.
I am very saddened that this is even in conversation! Once you feed people that you must separate the music from the man, human nature dictates the worst!!
If you are doing a show in tribute to Michael, it should be just that . . . a tribute to Michael. I’m not sure why you even mentioned allegations.
“I’m doing a show honoring Michaels music.”
That’s all you had to say!!
Michael is innocent and giving doubt to the haters is not what we should be fighting for!!
