July 18 will be the released the book “Icons by Oscar : The Works of Oscar Abolafia Photographer”. Published by Lannoo Publishers and is a collection of images that the American photographer took throughout 50 years of some of the most famous people on the planet.
There are Andy Warhol , Michael Jackson , Robert Redford and Jacqueline Kennedy , among others , portraits in the most intimate and unusual moments with respect to the cover photographs or social events in which we are accustomed to see them : while they smoke , play football or try to to balance a flower on the lips .
Oscar Abolafia was born in 1935 , lives and works in New York and is famous because of its celebrity photos published in magazines such as People Magazine , Vanity Fair and Harper ‘s Bazaar , especially in the sixties and eighties . His archive has more than 300,000 images of famous people : political actors, athletes , models , and that tell something about the so-called icons of the past.
