Bruno “Pop N Taco” Falcon was a pioneer in Hip-Hop Dance move and was also a long time dancer for Michael Jackson.
You might have seen him on “Captain EO” or doing the lean next to Michael on Smooth Criminal but for sure you saw him on all Michael Jackson Tours up to HIStory World Tour!
Bruno Falcon was born on June 10, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Bruno Falcon, Pop ‘n’ Taco, was one of the few Hispanic dancers with a name. He was born in East L.A. but was going to school at Poly High School in Long Beach and was getting called out all the time. “People couldn’t believe there was a Mexican who could pop. They would challenge me in front of the school or a party or a high school dance. They’d come out, right at you, right in front of your face.”
Falcon has in fact danced his way into a lucrative career as a low-profile choreographer. He’s worked with La Toya, Janet and Michael Jackson as the creative consultant on Michael’s “Dangerous” tour.

UPDATE: Michael Jackson Estate have made a statement about Bruno:
“RIP Bruno “Pop N Taco” Falcon, one of the most innovative dancers and choreographers of his generation. Michael recognized Bruno’s brilliance as one of the pioneers in hip-hop dance during the 1980s. Bruno danced in the Smooth Criminal short film and was right next to Michael as they did the gravity-defying lean that remains among the most iconic dance moves in music history. Bruno also danced with Michael on tour. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched but the greatest loss is felt by Bruno’s family and friends.”
Bruno’s family have also asked for financial help to put Bruno to rest:
“Saturday July 2nd we unexpectedly lost our beloved Bruno “Pop N Taco” Falcon. To many, Bruno was an icon, a legend in the dance world, a master of popping and a teacher. But to us he was a son, a brother, a friend and an uncle. Bruno was a good man whos generosity over the years was unmeasurable. He was just an all around good and humble person. But over the years Bruno fell on some hard times. So we are here asking his fans, students and family for any donations to help us lay our Bruno to rest. Bruno “Pop N Taco” will forever live in our hearts. He left his legacy in this world and for that we are proud of him. We love you Bruno”
