Again this year, the Rio de Janeiro’s carnival celebrated Michael Jackson! The theme set by Vila Isabel school was about black music and obviously, they had Michael Jackson!
Vila Isabel was made of 3,600 people in a show that evoked African roots and its legacy in American music from the US to Argentina. The school paid tribute to Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner on a monumental carriage in which they also danced to the sound of the Jackson 5!
LaVelle Smith Jr was on site with Rodrigo Teaser (Brazilian impersonator) who performed on the parade. For more than 8 hours, 19,200 musicians and dancers paraded in the street of Rio!
