Speaking to VladTV, Teddy Riley, who worked on the “Michael” album back in 2010, re-confirmed that the 3 Cascio tracks on the album are not Michael Jackson vocals.
He also extended his apologise to Quincy Jones. The producer said that he was forced to say that the voice was authentic: “I was influenced and pushed to say the things that were said.”
The producer went on to explain that he had initially asked for evidence of the authenticity of the voice, but that he had never been presented with such proof.
“They didn’t prove it to me!”
In June 2022, Sony Music started to remove the 3 songs in question from all their platforms and in August, the lawsuit between Vera Serova and Sony/The Estate regarding the album was settled.
