After the previews of MJ The Musical, the official premiere (or Press Night) has arrived last night in London.
The Old Compton Street, where Prince Edward Theatre is situated, has been partially closed to set the massive red carpet and a MJ Musical backdrop for UK tabloids paparazzi to take pictures of celebrities arriving to the venue.
Paris, Prince and Bigi Jackson came to London to see the musical and show their support to their dad (and the Estate for some of them).
Also present, of course John Branca with what seems to be a new girlfriend, shadowed by his partner in crime Karen Langford who was also here for the first previews of the show and there for her protégé Myles Frost (I will never forget the Karen Langford and Myles Frost show at the Michael Jackson Birthday Bash in Las Vegas last year)
Director and Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and Lynn Nottage who wrote the book, were also of the party. I am wandering if Nottage told Michael Jackson’s kids that she believes Robson and Safechuck’s accusations? Just a thought!
Some UK celebrities, TV hosts, Radio presenters, came to see the show too. And here some of those spotted on the red carpet: Linda Robson from ITV Loose Women TV show, Remel London, a TV Broadcaster, German-born American film score composer and music producer Hans Zimmer, Keala Settle form “The Greatest Showman” (who I am sure said bad things about Michael after “Leaving Neverland”), Radio celebrity Jeremy Vine, Actress Clare Perkins and many more…
Chris Tucker flew to London to be also present at the premiere.
And of course, the fans who showed up for this event and enjoying the show. However, during the final section, the “toaster” did not work and Frost had to come on stage from the side:
@atdazzles There was a slight technical malfunction at the @m@MJ the Musical curtain call tonight (on press night. Eek!) but Myles Frost styled it out beautifully. #theater #theatretiktok #curtaincall #londontheatre #theatre #musicaltheatre #mjthemusical #mjthemusicaluk #mjmusical #michaeljackson
And of course, why not an after party with all the casts and VIPs?
