The Estate trade marked the name “Neverland” and the design “Boy on the moon” back in 2020 and early 2021, they also trade marked “Neverland Ranch” with rights to produce merchandise. So why have they waited so long to release this collection? Maybe they wanted to wait that the ranch was fully purchased to avoid any confusion among the fans to the possibility for the Ranch to be open again as Michael created it. Now that the ranch has been sold, there is no longer confusions.
However, the timing is weird. why now? 2 weeks before Michael Jackson’s Birthday? We have asked the Estate and waiting for an answer … if there is one!
If you seriously want to promote a positive image of Michael Jackson through this merchandise, may I suggest you leave off the snarky comment about his detractors? Really, it doesn’t help. If people who aren’t “in the know” come across this site, they won’t know what you’re talking about…and it’s just as well that they don’t.
This site is visited by Michael Jackson fans (around 3 million of them) and I believe they will appreciate the little dig at Dan Reed here. But thanks for your opinion, we don’t really care about it as we saw what you think on twitter. 😉
