August 29 would have been Michael Jackson’s 62nd birthday and while the restrictions due to COVID-19 and social distancing, this year’s birthday celebration for the King of Pop were mainly online.
The Estate has join forces with Spike Lee for the Brooklyn loves MJ Block Party which took place yesterday from Spike Lee’s offices and was live on Michael Jackson Official youtube, they both also released a new cut of “They Don’t Care About Us” 2020 version.

The Estate has also added 2 more videos from the Birthday performances by Cirque du Soleil at MJ ONE in Las Vegas from 2015 and 2017. You can watch them here.
Staying on the “Official” side of the birthday, the cast of “MJ: The Musical” has also pay tribute to Michael Jackson by dancing remotely on “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'”. Check the video here.
Rarely fans were able to meet due to COVID-19 but in China, 10 statues of Michael Jackson were revealed across the country and hundred of fans were able to participate and celebrate the King of Pop. Check out all the pictures here.
Russian fans decided to pay tribute to Michael Jackson and all those who passed away from COVID-19 by doing a fan made video of “Earth Song”. Check the video here.
Few fans also make a brave trip to Forest Lawn to give flowers and even a plane flew by stated “Happy Birthday Michael”
