After two years of restrictions and travel bans due to COVID-19, this year, fans were able to come together to honour the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
The fans gathered in places that mean a lot to us such Forest Lawn or the gates of Neverland Ranch. But new places were also used such as the MJ ONE in Las Vegas or MJ the Musical in New York.
In China, fans who were able to travel, gathered around the multiple statues of the King of Pop or in Taiwan in front of the gigantesque picture of Michael. Fans also gathered around murals, statues, places that Michael went in different cities across the globe.
Others went to tribute shows, the musical or MJ One show.
Some fans also took actions such as donating to charities, planted trees and plants or donating blood.
Online, tributes flooded social media with pictures of Michael Jackson and hashtags such as #MichaelJackson and #13YearsWithOutMichaelJackson trended.
