The King of Pop’s music is still purchased and streamed non-stop by fans all around the world, and the US is no exception. This week, THRILLER reaches a special milestone, one which remains far out of reach for the vast majority of other artists.
THRILLERÂ has now been present on the Billboard 200 for 500 weeks. That means that the title has now ranked as one of the 200 most-consumed albums in the U.S. for as many weeks, which is an incredible accomplishment.Â
THRILLER is now just the twelfth title in U.S. history to make it to 500 weeks on the Billboard 200, one of the two most competitive and important rankings published by the chart company and music magazine. The most recent addition to this club was The Beatles 1, which reached 500 turns on the tally just two periods ago. The club of artists who have snagged a 500-week-charter also includes such luminaries as Adele, Bruno Mars, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Nirvana, Eminem and Pink Floyd, whose The Dark Side of the Moon is far and away the longest-charting release ever.
