American R&B singer Victoria Monét just dropped her new single called “Alright” and it is full of Michael Jackson references.
Victoria has frequently cited R&B female artists such as Janet Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Mariah Carey, Brandy, Alicia Keys, as major musical and vocal influences. She also cited pop influence from Michael Jackson and Coldplay, while soul and jazz from Earth, Wind & Fire and Sade.
For her new single, she released a sort of teaser for her video which is based and tributed to “Thriller”. I mean there is no much more for me to say but for you to watch it:
Her music video followed a day later and “Alright” also features Michael Jackson references such as the gangster themed, the armband and few dance moves and MJ mimics.
