For the past few weeks, the NPR Music team has been huddled together, trying to agree on a list of our 50 favorite albums. We’ll post our final list on Dec. 8, followed by hundreds of our favorite songs on Dec. 9 and much more to follow. But we want you to get in on the act by telling us your favorite albums from 2014.
Below you’ll find a (massive) list with hundreds of albums released in 2014. Check the ones you loved the most. You can select up to ten. It’s a lot to scroll through, but it’s a nice way to remind us all of some of the great records that came out this year. If you’d like a printable list, we’ve put all the nominees into a downloadable pdf.
Of course, even with more than 500 albums on the list below, we inevitably miss something someone out there dearly loves. So if you don’t see your favorite record listed, you can enter it in one of the write-in spots at the very bottom.
Voting will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15. We’ll present the results on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Xscape is a fascinating collection of songs. I like the ones that Michael did alone to the remixes.
