The composer of WandaVision Series, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, has recently done an interview for Rolling Stone Magazine where she admitted that she wanted a big singing and dancing moment for the series.
During the interview she talked about the regrets and what could have been better or different. She then stated that she was considering to pitch a large dance number inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”:
“Looking back, I really wish we had pitched that when Agatha had control of the whole town, she made them do some sort of “Thriller” moment. If we had known the way the songs were going to hit, I think we would have wanted to have a big finale. But we had absolutely no idea.“
In the Series, the baddy character Agatha Harkness, a witch that had control of the minds of a whole city, revealed herself to Wanda with a big singing moment that fans now love. Anderson-Lopez had in vision (LOL) to do a sort of Zombie-like reveal number using “Thriller” but they opted for the version you can now watch on Disney+.
Not to mention, it would have been a challenge to get the rights to use the song from The Michael Jackson Estate but we can now only imagine how cool this could have been! Maybe in a parallel universe, this has happened!
