In 2022, Netflix released a new series “Wednesday”, titled after the character from the Adams Family focusing on the eldest daughter of Gomez & Morticia. Jenna Ortega plays the role of the morbid character directed by Tim Burton.
So popular that it is the 2nd most watched show after “Stranger Things”.
But one scene in particular took over social media, especially TikTok when Wednesday go to a ball and dance on the Cramps’ song “Goo Goo Muck”.
During a recent interview for SYFY, film editor Jay Prychidny revealed that the dance was inspired by Michael Jackson Iconic “Thriller” dance:
“Her moves were inspired by ‘Thriller,’ and I was obsessed with that song as a kid. That was definitely what inspired me to start the way she does: a sweep up to her face with the choreography starting out camera…definitely to me it’s a reference to how the dance in ‘Thriller’ begins.”
The viral impact of the sequence is huge and here below the full dance, just to see if you can recognise the “Thriller” dance:
And just because we love “Thriller” so much, we cannot not put it here too!
