As you may (or may not) know , The first European Michael Jackson Convention KINGVENTION will take place in London on September 12! Already over 160 fans will attend and it seems to be the place to be for any Michael Jackson fan! We have been told that fans from all over WORLD will come to London with attendees coming from as far as New Zealand, Japan and USA!
So, what to expect from Kingvention?
Well of course you will hear from 3 amazing guests who have worked with Michael Jackson during the HIStory era:
Diana Walczak who is the creator of the Michael Jackson HIStory Statue. she will be sharing her experience and time with Michael Jackson and how she created the Statue for the album cover. She will also bring with her the bust of the statue that was used for the album cover, an unique item that was never seen before since 1995 with other surprises!
Rob Hoffman who was an engineer and musician for the HIStory album will also be sharing his stories being in Studio with Michael Jackson! Rob will be sharing some unique artefacts from his time working on the album.
Jonathan Morrish, former Vice President of Communication for Sony Music Europe between 1983 and 2003 will be sharing decades of stories, moments spent with the King of Pop!
Another highlight of the event will be The Making of Moonwalker Collection. For the first time ever, Kingvention will premiere a behind the scenes look at the making of Moonwalker direct from the creation with over 200 storyboards, unseen images, concept artworks and original script ideas featuring Michael’s personal input and though processes!
Photographer Eddie Wolfl will also share pictures from the set of Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson short film SCREAM!
Wolfl’s images will provide fans with an intimate look at the famous siblings on set of the most expensive short film ever made.
Also something that all collectors will want to be present for, a MJ Market Place with thousands of Official Michael Jackson merchandise including KING OF SHOP, Iconic Magazine, The Ultimate Collector Book Series and Pyramid International AND artist Daniel Brooks will be also present with some of his artworks! There will be also over an hour of videos played within the convention and to finish in style a big MJ party!
