Most of the fan base will know the name Kevin Stea, but he is not it.
Kevin is not only a dancer, he is a choreographer, an actor, a singer, a director and a model.
You might have noticed him in “Charlie’s Angels”, “Austin Power Goldmember” or “Sister Act 2”.
Michael Jackson fans will know him for one of the Russian dancers on “Black or White” or recognised him on Michael Jackson’s performance of “Will You Be There” at the MTV 10th Anniversary or again on “Blood On The Dance Floor” short film.
Vincent Paterson is the one who casted Kevin Stea for all those amazing projects and Kevin was supposed to be part of the tours but due to commitments with Madonna, Kevin never made it!
But he is also known for being a constant dancer for Madonna on tour and in the video “Vogue”. He also worked with Janet Jackson in “IF” or Celine Dion’s “One Heart”. The list is long: Prince, Ricky Martin, Janet Jackson, George Michael, David Bowie, Celine Dion, Herb Alpert, Macy Gray, Anastacia, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Cher, Christina Aguilera, Tony Bennett, will.i.am, Jane’s Addiction, A. R. Rahman, Seiko Matsuda, and the Pussycat Dolls…
He also released an album “Machine & Magic” under the name “That Rogue Romeo”.
More recently, Kevin featured in the 2015 documentary “Strike a Pose” which follows the lives of Madonna’s “Blond Ambition World Tour”‘s dancers. The documentary was a huge success worldwide!
We also had the chance to speak to Kevin for 2015’s Iconic Magazine Issue 21: The Dance, where he also defended Michael Jackson and called out Robson a liar following the 2013’s allegations.
Kevin is still pretty present in the fashion, music and dance worlds and busy working!
And just because we can and we love them here the videos of Kevin Stea in “Black or White”, “Will You Be There – MTV 10th Anniversary performance” and “Blood On The Dance Floor”:
