The Rolling Stones, the late Michael Jackson, and Santana are among the finalists for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, which ABC will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas May 17.
The Rolling Stones are in the running for the Top Touring Artist, and will compete against such younger pop stars as Lady Gaga, One Direction,Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s posthumous 2014 studio effort, Xscape, is a finalist in the Top R&B Album category, facing off against releases by Beyoncé, Chris Brown, John Legend andPharrell Williams.
As for Santana, the veteran band’s first-ever Spanish-language album, Corazon, will vie for the Top Latin Album prize against Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias and others.
